Creating a Security Culture in the Workplace
There has never been a more demanding need to become situationaly aware whilst at work or travelling than there is now.
RISC Associates defines situational awareness as:
"A learned skill of developing your attention levels. This includes perceptive profiling of
people, environmental elements and events within a specific time and space,
in order to make informed decisions"
The aim of this 1-day course is to provide a basic understanding of situational awareness that
will create a security culture at work.
By the end of the course the delegates will be able to:
• Explain what situational awareness is
• Develop a coding system for their work alertness levels
• Develop better observation skills
• Create baselines within any given situation (including expectational baselines)
• Recognise individual behaviours
• Search for behavioural anomalies
• Confidently take appropriate actions upon identifying an anomaly
